I was cleaning out some old files on my computer and I came across this clip of C3P0 reminding “parents of earth” to make sure their children are “fully immunized against childhood diseases.”
Can you imagine what the outcry would be if Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear were in a modern-day vaccine PSA?

I don’t think there would be an outcry, it’s a very sweet idea. The only people I can imagine complaining are those anti-vaccination people.

The one I remember was C3PO catching R2D2 smoking. I was 5, and the only thing that stuck in my mind was not, “Don’t smoke,” but, “Wait a second, droids don’t have lungs!” I don’t think that was their intended message.
