Two days after The Panic Virus was released, I traveled to North Carolina’s Research Triangle for ScienceOnline 2011, aka #SciO11. The annual conference, which has been transformed into one of the premier science journalism events in the world, is the brainchild of Bora Zivkovic and Anton Zuiker — and it’s no exaggeration to say that it changed my life. I’ve been traveling a lot over the past week, which has translated into lots of activity in the real world and very little in the virtual one.
